IN LIKE A LION, OUT LIKE A LAMB!
Early March brought us many snow storms that blanketed the mountains in most of the state. Spring snowfall always helps keep up the great ski conditions and our seasonal snow-pack level. Here in Colorado our seasonal snow-pack level is of the utmost importance for our mountain water supply that will melt through out the summer and reach our streams and rivers. Our mountains will be looking very green in the next few months as we will get ready for our summer season! We do have a few more weeks of the ski season left and the conditions are amazing this year! So don’t hesitate to come visit us again and enjoy the skiing, sunshine, and maybe even another snow storm!
In the real estate realm, mountain homes continue to sell at a steady pace and prices are varying from area to area. We do not have an “off” season for real estate so if you are looking to buy or sell please let me know now so we can prepare for the coming summer season. Mountain Resorts Market Analysis
Eagle County real estate is off to a slower start in 2019 than in 2018. Total transactions are down 16%, 223 compared to 265, and total dollar volume is down 6% to $245,739,882.
The overall average price is $1,128,651 including 7 sales over $5M selling in the first two months of the year. The highest being a Vail Village home (below) selling for $11M; $2,890 per square foot.
Eagle and Gypsum were home to many of the 31 new home sales, which have totaled over $27M, year to date.
